Hello, I hope some people will take the time to read this, I've been considering re-vamping my Naruto OCs: Daisuke and Kiyoko Shimizu.

fav.me/d3aqks7

As you can see, they're currently Uchiha OCs, (from a defunct line of Uchiha that did not live in Konoha), but I've considered doing away with that entirely and giving them a completely original Kakkei Genkai.

This new bloodline limit would allow them to Temporarily absorb someone's chakra nature, and use it as their own. This would also be extended to other kakkei genkai (Sharingan, Byakugan, Shadow imitation, beast transformation, etc) but the draw-backs are that it is only temporary, and they are limited by their own skill with said ability.(Kinda like Rogue from X-Men.)

So, if Kiyoko absorbed Sasuke's sharingan, she wouldn't be awesome like he is with it, and if Daisuke absorbed the multi-size technique of the Akimichi, he wouldn't suddenly be able to use the butterfly wings like Choji can.

What I was mostly wondering is, does this sound like a more credible ninja ability?

How long do you think is a fair amount of temporary time for the absorbtion to last? (I was thinking around 1 hour.)

On a side note, they would not be able to absorb borrowed Kakkei Genkai like Yamato's Mokuton or Ao's byakugan.

Also, the original would retain all ability to use their chakra nature. (Naruto could still use wind chakra even if one of them absorbed it from him--and they wouldn't get the rasen-shiruken, or any other enhanced -learned- elemental jutsu!)

This would also make them effectively No Longer Uchiha OCs! Just so we're clear on that... lol

I like that you have the stones to do away with such an important part of the characters. However, it may be a tad difficult to keep balance in your story if your characters can imitate every technique their opponent has. This would require that they survive the technique the first time it's used so as to be able to use it effectively. That's just my opinion o.o
